How to remove an image background

Select Choose image and pick a JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP file. Work on one image at a time, up to 25 MiB and 16 megapixels. HEIC, SVG, GIF and PDF are not accepted. Animated WebP uses its first frame.
Removal starts automatically. The first run downloads about 19 MB of model and processing resources from this website; later runs in the same tab reuse the model. Keep the tab open. Cancel stops the worker and clears the task.
Compare Original and Result. The checkerboard means transparency and is not included in your PNG. Images larger than 2048 pixels on the longest side are reduced proportionally; smaller images keep their dimensions. The result label shows the export size.
Select Erase to remove unwanted parts or Restore to bring back original pixels, then drag over the result. Adjust Brush size for edges. Undo last edit reverses one stroke; Reset mask returns to the automatic cutout. Keyboard controls are explained beneath the brush.
Leave Background set to Transparent for a cutout, or choose Solid color and pick a background color. Check fine edges against the intended color: hair, spokes, glass and similar foreground/background colors can require cleanup.
Select Download PNG to save the current result, including your edits and chosen background. Keep your original file. Clear image removes the task from the tool; neither the image nor edits are saved as a project or uploaded for processing.

Transparent PNG for products and layouts

A transparent background lets a product photo sit on a shop layout, presentation or social media design without a rectangular backdrop. Start with a sharp, well-lit subject that stands apart from the background. Check the complete outline and any gaps before publishing.

Background removal needs a final visual check

The local model estimates the main subject from a 320 × 320 analysis image. The exported PNG can be larger, but that does not restore missing edge detail. Fine hair, fur, reflections, transparent objects and busy scenes may need manual work or a different source photo.

Remove image backgrounds online, process images locally

The website delivers the model and processing code to your browser. Your selected image and brush edits are processed on your device, without an image upload or account. Normal website requests still occur. Downloads depend on your connection; processing speed and available memory depend on your device.

Is Cezar Background Remover free?

Yes. The tool is free and requires no account. You can process one image at a time and download the result as PNG.

Are my images uploaded?

No image upload is used for background removal. Processing and editing happen in your browser. The model and supporting files are downloaded from this website; the tool does not save images in browser storage.

Which formats and sizes are supported?

JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 25 MiB and 16 megapixels, with neither side above 16384 pixels. Output is limited to 2048 pixels on the longest side. Animated WebP uses only the first frame. HEIC, GIF, SVG and PDF are not supported.

Can I download a transparent PNG?

Yes. Choose Transparent in Background, then Download PNG. Choosing a solid color produces a PNG with that background instead. The checkerboard is only a preview.

Does it work on product photos and people?

It can separate distinct products, people and other prominent subjects. Results vary. Fine hair, holes, shadows and complex backgrounds are difficult; inspect the result and use Erase or Restore where needed.

Can I refine the result manually?

Yes. Erase hides pixels; Restore brings back the original pixels. Adjust the brush, undo the last edit or reset the automatic mask. It does not generate missing details or provide professional hair matting.

Does it work on mobile?

The interface supports touch and small screens. Processing requires a modern browser with WebAssembly and sufficient memory. It can be slower on phones; reduce the image size if processing fails. Real device performance varies.
